Self taught artist Patti Shaw was born and raised in the Seattle area where she
currently lives with her artist husband and teenage son. She has been making art
quilts since 1999 and shows her work in both local and national shows.
Shaw's earlier travel experiences and her work in the commercial fishing industry,
where she built and repaired commercial fishing nets, have both influenced her
work and her decision to choose fiber as her medium.
